Weekend tips 3

Weekend tips 3

Yes, it is Friday again and we have great weather. If the weather forecast is to be believed, we will be keeping this sunshine for a while. Perfect for outdoor fun.

Time for the weekend tips for the Westland region and surroundings.

Boerol

Every year there is a theater festival on Terschelling. Farm the Crow's Nest has been bringing this festival to the Maasland polder for eight years under the name Boerol. Boerol is a cultural festival for young and old and on Saturday 27 June completely free of charge. You will find theater, visual arts, film, music and fun children's activities. For the kids there is a mysterious estate this year, where you can play and have adventures.

You can also help build a giant clay castle. Furthermore, there will be readings and you can participate in a dance workshop. All this and much more takes place from 10.30-19.00u.

Check out Boerol's site for the exact location and all the ins and outs.

Parade

We stay a bit in the theater festival theme with the Parade. This is a traveling festival which starts this year in the Museumpark in Rotterdam. Saturday and Sunday you can still go here. Next week the festival moves to The Hague. The parade always has a special children's program with theater performances.

Children up to year 12 can enter for free and until 16.00 o'clock you can also enter the terrain for free as an adult. Please note; for some performances you need to buy tickets online in advance. The prices are not very high so nice if you want to experience something different.

Sports and Games Palace

In the Uithof in The Hague from June 10 to August 31 there is a cool children's paradise, the Sport and Game Palace. There are various indoor and outdoor activities for children from 4 years old. So you can go on a belly slide, archery, quad biking, survival courses, jumping on air cushions and trampolines, zip lines and much more. For a whole day of fun you pay 8 euros per child.

For the little ones, there is a special children's area for children up to 7 years old. In short fun for young and old and even with bad weather good to do.

What are you going to do this weekend? Enjoy the weather and have a nice weekend!
